DESY Startup School

The DESY Start-up School empowers its participants with knowledge in business development planning, funding, budget setting, networking, marketing, and communications; while supporting them on their way to becoming a special kind of entrepreneur: a #sciencepreneur.
 
Candidates with a concept for a scientific service company based on advanced analytical and experimental techniques, data analysis and/or AI methods are welcome to apply for one of the twelve slots at the DESY Start-up School. The registrations are open between February 5 - March 15, 2024, and the program will be held from April to October 2024 containing 6 webinars and 2 pitching sessions in English.
 
The DESY Start-up School curriculum includes individual coaching sessions with some of Europe’s leading scientific service companies’ CEOs, as well as a series of webinars that embrace the topics worth knowing to leap - from being a scientist to becoming an entrepreneur. Participants will also gain the opportunity to join a European network of accomplished scientific service companies and like-minded people. The programme is free of charge for the participants and organized by DESY, in cooperation with Saïd Business School of Oxford University, and receives additional funding from the Helmholtz Association.
