The conference "30 Years of Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC): Histories, Achievements, Challenges" will take place on the 5th and 6th of October 2023 at the Harnack-Haus in Berlin. It is supported by the Fritz-Haber-Institut of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft, the University of Hamburg, and the CWC Coalition of the Arms Control Association.
Prof. Ulf Schmidt from the history department of the University of Hamburg is involved in the organisation of the conference and will be leading discussion panels on the topic of abolition and the future of chemical weapons. From his team, Prof. Jonathan Moreno and Dr. David Peace will also be speaking at the conference.
