If the majority of the research in your discipline is published in English, if your students
wish to reach an international audience or if they are simply more comfortable writing in
English than in German, then they may prefer to submit their research papers in English.
Furthermore, as more writers seek to write in languages other than their first language,
the use of generative AI in that writing process becomes more prevalent, more self-
evident, and perhaps more accepted. But how can that affect their results?
In this workshop we will address the needs of those writing in English, your own needs as
you support them, and why and where genAI can be used or avoided in the writing
process. Whether your students and researchers are submitting term papers or final
theses, you will feel more secure as you help them to achieve best results.
